Museum rooms

The permanent exhibition is organised into eight rooms, making it possible to learn about the history of Galicia’s wine industry, the five designations of origin of Galician wines, and the history of the building created for the production of wine back in the Middle Ages.

The exhibition covers the building’s three floors. The thematic areas are integrated into the spaces in a natural way: they follow the winemaking process throughout history in Galicia and they are distributed in the different floors of the building, depending on the original function of Santo André. The visit starts on the ground floor, and gradually descends to the well-preserved wine presses where the must used to be obtained. The process ends up in the wine cellar, where the must was transformed into wine.
