This room exhibits the main activities that comprise traditional vine growing, the grapevine cycle and its protagonists, as well as some related trades: blacksmiths, basket weavers and potters.
The four main yearly cycles mark the activities of a vineyard, which begin in late autumn and end with grape picking. Audiovisual media show the development of the grapevine over a whole year as well as vineyard activities and their protagonists.
Visitors can take a short break from the exhibition discourse in the transit area between rooms 2 and 3, where there is a balcony that opens onto the vineyard landscape, with the valley in the background and the church of Santo André in the foreground. A model skyline highlights the most representative elements of this landscape.
