Caíño Bravo

OTHER NAMES: amaral (Portugal), azal tinto (Portugal).

CasteThis is a scarce variety which is only produced in the Ribeiro area, where it had a scant presence. Is usually blended to obtain an aromatic contribution of fruit and citrus.

UvaUniform grapes, almost always spherical, of a blackish-blue colour; medium blossom, barely visible navel, easily separated pedicel and the presence of a ring. Cross-section of the grape, circular; uncoloured, substantial, soft flesh, with no particular flavour.

ViñoIt produces wines of an intense freshness, with citrus and fruit aromas, a crisp mouthfeel and a light structure.
